Chihards, the wait is finally over! Last night, we were treated to new episodes of Chicago Fire, Med, and PD. It had been almost seven months since we have seen fresh episodes from the One Chicago Universe due to the pandemic. The season premiere of Chicago Fire introduced us to yet another paramedic. Annie Ilonzeh who played Emily Foster exited the series at the end of season eight.
Adriyan Rae joins the cast in season nine as Gianna Mackey. We hope that she sticks around longer than past paramedics have at Firehouse 51. The actress is so no stranger to our TV screens. Here is a look at where you may have saw her prior to last night's Chicago Fire premiere.
Vagrant Queen
If you are a Science Fiction nerd, you may remember seeing Rae on the Syfy series Vagrant Queen. The adventure series debuted its first of 10 episodes at the end of March. Rae plays Queen Elida who runs away from the Lazaro army and is based on the Vault comic of the same name. Due to low ratings, the series was cancelled in June.
Light as a Feather
For two seasons, Rae played Peri a main character on the Hulu original Light as a Feather. The series dealt with teenage girls dying after playing a game of Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board. This horror/thriller also struggled to find a huge audience before getting the official axe in 2019.
Brockmire
Adriyan Rae briefly appeared on the second season of the comedy Brockmire. She played the character Yvonne that was included in three episodes. The series starred Hank Azaria, Tyrel Jackson Williams, and Amanda Peet and ran for four seasons.
Additionally, Rae has been seen in guest appearances on Star and Atlanta in 2018.
