The season premiere of Chicago Fire is only a few weeks away, but fans are still thinking about what the crew at Firehouse 51 will be cooking up in their 9th season. It seems like forever since we were last treated to a new episode of Chicago Fire (April 15th was the last new one). Here is a look at 5 events we hope happens over the course of the new season.
1.Crossover Event
One Chicago usually provides fans with at least one cross event each season. However, with the current pandemic upon us, this may limit the opportunity for the casts to intermingle with one another. We can still hope that a storyline will bring together Chicago Fire, PD, and Med to provide fans with 3 non-stop hours of drama (plus a ton of commercials!)
2.Return of an Old Cast Member
Chicago Fire has gone through its fair share of cast changes over 8 seasons. Why not bring back someone from the past to stir things up a bit. We would love for Gabby to make another return or even see old faces like Peter, Jimmy, or Jessica AKA Chilly come back to Firehouse 51.
3. Severide and Kidd Wedding
After Dawson parted ways and divorced Casey, Severide and Kidd have become the It couple on Chicago Fire. It is about time that Kelly makes that official and puts a ring on Stella's finger. It is clear that they are the perfect couple and have been rooting from them for several seasons.
4. A Paramedic That Sticks Around
Is it too hard to find a paramedic that can stick around on Chicago Fire? Over 8 seasons, we have seen many dedicated paramedics enter and abruptly leave the Firehouse. The person that is selected this time needs to stick it out for the long haul. Could it be Blake's current love interest Violet?
5. Casey and Brett Romance
The writers have been hitting at this ever since Dawson left. So let's actually see some progression with this storyline in season 9. Casey and Brett have been flirting like high school kids long enough. If Casey doesn't ask her out on a date by the end of the season there is no hope for shipping Brasey (or does Casett sound better?)
