TV fans have been getting antsy as to when shows will resume production for their fall seasons. Though most series have yet to make a decision when filming will begin, we are starting to hear what storylines about future episodes. This is the case for This Is Us, which will be airing its fifth season hopefully by early 2021.
Creator Dan Fogelman spilled some tea (albeit it a small amount) last night. The critically acclaimed series will focus on the COVID-19 pandemic that has been a focal point in our lives since earlier this year. "We have decided to attack things head on. Very proud of @ThisIsUsWriters," he announced on Twitter. Fogelman went on to see that no integral storylines will change as a result of the delayed production. "Same planned ending. Same route to get there," Fogelman also revealed on Twitter.
When we last saw This Is Us, Randall and Kevin were in yet another fight as it related to Rebecca's health. This "war" between the siblings will continue in season 5. Sterling K. Brown admitted, "The relationship has been complicated from the beginning. They will continue like a yo-yo - will come apart and together, apart and together."
