Schitt's Creek has been one of the shows I discovered during the pandemic. And boy am I glad that I did. The cast is hilarious and I have enjoyed the series so much that I am already rewatching it. One of the greatest characters is Moira Rose, played by the lovely Catherine O'Hara. Here is a look at our five favorite wigs she donned during the six season of Schitt's Creek.
Wicked Witch Look (Season 5, Episode 12)
This particular wig makes Moira look like she could be starring in the off-off-off broadway version of Wicked. Who knows, maybe her agent thinks the same thing? In this episode, David is trying to keep it from Moira that Stevie and Patrick have been taking dance lessons behind her (and the wig's) back.
Green with Envy (Season 4, Episode 4)
We think when Moira adds a dash of color to her wigs, it makes them all the more memorable. This is the case with this little green number, Moira clearly makes an awesome entrance. In this episode, Moira is trying to help sweet Alexis get back into the dating scene, all while looking like chocolate chip mint ice cream.
Jocelyn's Twin (Season 1, Episode 7)
Moira's new BFF is Jocelyn Schitt after the family relocates to Schitt's Creek. And though she doesn't appreciate her style, the two venture out on a spa day for some much needed relaxation. The final product is Moira's wig resembling that of Jocelyn's hairdo straight out of the 80's. She even described it as a dead possum - which is pretty accurate.
Movie Wig (Season 5, Episode 1)
I don't know about you, but I would love to see The Crows Have Eyes 3. The trailer alone is movie magic. Moira's wig does resemble that of a crow, which only make us want to watch this movie even more to see the rest of the cast in their coustimes. It would be awesome if the team behind Schitt's Creek (we are talking to you Eugene and Dan!) would make a small 10 minute movie for fans to watch since we are going through withdrawals after the show ended.
Wedding Day (Season 6, Episode 14)
The series finale of Schitt's Creek features the wedding of the cutest couple in the world: David and Patrick. Moira performs the ceremony and shows up with a wig of luscious blonde locks that almost reach the floor. Extra cool points are awarded to this look for the magnificent headdress that Moira pairs with her wig. What a great way to say good-bye to our favorite show.
