I was a little late to the party when I started watching the awesome comedy Schitt's Creek. About five seasons late to be exact. Thankfully Netflix knows me better than I know myself and recommended I check out this quirky series about a wealthy family that loses it all and moves to the small town they own to start over. One of the greatest couples on Schitt's Creek is David (Dan Levy) and Patrick (Noah Reid). Here are their five greatest moments.
5. First Kiss
I had a hunch when Patrick showed up near the end of season 3 that he might be David's next love interest. Their first interaction when David is applying for a business loan is too perfect. David is oblivious to the flirting and Patrick is trying to be low-key about his instant crush. Luckily, we only need to wait for a few episodes before they share their first kiss in the car.
4. Patrick Wants Kids
Season six of Schitt's Creek focused on the planning of David and Patrick's wedding. But before the couple walk down the aisle, Patrick makes a visit to the dentist to get his wisdom teeth out. When he is recovering, he shares a cute moment with his fiancee about wanting to have a family. And we all swoon from our living rooms.
3. The Wedding Vows
Watching the series finale of Schitt's Creek was a bittersweet moment. Saying good-bye to these funny characters was tough, but seeing the happy ending of David and Patrick's wedding was the icing on the... well, the wedding cake. When the two exchanged their vows, I was crying all the happy tears and I hope you were too.
2. David Helps Patrick Come Out to His Parents
Schitt's Creek was always in the forefront of depicting realistic LGBTQ storylines. One of those was Patrick coming out to his family. David plans a party and accidentally outs him. However, it was so great to witness the interaction Patrick has with his mom and dad with the encouragement of his beau.
Patrick Serenades David
Prior to watching Schitt's Creek, I was only slightly familiar with Noah's acting career (like the short-lived Kevin from Work). I had no idea he was also a fabulous singer. That is why I was enamored with this scene where Patrick sings his heart out to David in the store. The look on Moira's face watching someone so in love with her son serenading him makes this scene that much greater.
