There has been a lot of uncertainty when fresh new episodes of our favorite series will return due to the current pandemic. Most shows start filming their new episodes in mid-July and that has not been the case for the 2020-2021 TV season. Lucky for us, it is different in the animation universe. The Simpsons will be back this September with new episodes on FOX.
The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and Bless the Harts will kick their news seasons off on Sunday September 27 at 8/7c . The animated series Duncanville will premiere season two and the beginning of 2021. It is expected The Simpsons will air a full 22-24 episode season.
The FOX network debuted a pandemic-proof lineup that includes other new shows outside of the popular Animation Domination block. The network is still leaning on Thursday Night Football and reality competitions like The Masked Singer to keep fans entertained in the fall. The network also postponed airing scripted series in order to provide viewers new television to watch. One of those series is the drama Filthy Rich, which stars Kim Cattrall.
