Glee: Naya Rivera's Five Best Performances

Fans are mourning the loss of "Glee" actress Naya Rivera, who passed away on July 8th. The actress drowned on a lake near Los Angeles after taking her son on a boating trip. Her son was unharmed and found on the boat with his life jacket. Rivera shot to fame one "Glee", playing the spunky cheerleader Santana Lopez. Over the years, she would also show her softer side when she fell in love with her BFF Brittany, played by Heather Morris. Here is a look back at Rivera's most memorable performances on "Glee"

5. Mine

There are a lot of people that enjoy Taylor Swift's music, but I am not one of those people. However, when one of her songs is sung by Santana/Rivera, it sounds so much better. Santana sings this to Brittany when they break up. Luckily, the two get back together. This occurred in the fourth season of "Glee".

4. The Boy Is Mine

Puck (Mark Salling) was the guy all the girls wanted. It just so happened that Santana and Mercedes (Amber Riley) wanted him at the same time in the first season of "Glee". They put their emotions into song singing this awesome track from Brandy and Monica. In the end, they both realize that Puck is trash.

3. If I Die Young

The characters on "Glee" (and the actors that played them) were devastated at the sudden death of Finn (Cory Monteith) at the start of season five. They decided to sing about their loss and Santana sings her heart out to this song from The Band Perry. Sadly like Monteith, Rivera died to young.

2. Constant Craving

The character of Santana Lopez was a fan favorite for her strong portrayal of a queer female of color. Santana began to explore her sexuality more in season three of "Glee". In the episode, "I Kissed a Girl", Santana decided to belt out this K.D. Lang song to empower the Glee Club.

1. Nutbush City Limits

Who doesn't love a good Bob Seger song (or Ike and Tina Turner depending on which version you prefer)? Santana returns to McKinley with some of her college cheerleading teammates to sing this tune in season four. Rivera was not familiar with the song prior to recording it for "Glee". She knocked it out of the park.
